Gratitude, Humility. Being thankful for your customers. Other than that, a good product line and being careful not to do too much for too many. Something I struggle with every day. Thanks

Just do your best work and let your referrals carry you. At some point the bad players will be discovered and called out. And as Maury said, everyone has a story. Let your story be your reputation, and your book of satisfied customers.

As many people have already said, work towards serving others and building your relationships with them. Someone once said you are the average of the 5 people around you, so work towards having the best 5 you possibly can.

It's all about traffic. Don't Google Tumbleweed, that will always come up. Think like your buyer and Google something that will bring up companies that meet the criteria they searched for ... jewelry or whatever is your USP (unique selling property) and see how you rank. You'll probably find you have a lot of competitors. If you are way down the list (not on the first page) then SEO might be worth your time and money. Keep in mind, though, that good SEO is expensive. Done right, it can generate a lot of leads, but then you have to close them.
On the other hand, we approach business from a more local perspective. Make sure you are doing everything right at home before you start reaching out to these external markets. Your product is likely a higher-dollar purchase and not conducive to impulse or emergency buyers that SEO is most successful for. (doctors, plumbers, roofers, carpet cleaners, etc.)
We tell our customers to make sure their website and their Facebook page are the two most things to concentrate on, get these right first, then begin looking for ways to do lead-gen. Make sure your most important info is top of mind (above the fold) on your website ---name, telephone number, Facebook link, then on your Facebook page make sure you are posting twice a day. Everyone says Facebook is cutting back on organic reach, and they are; but our position is that it's not about reach, it's about search. If your customers cannot find you, it won't matter what you do.
More information is available on our website at https://healthbeat.online, or just reach out. We'd be happy to help. Thanks
