About Us

I help ethnic (L1) English speaking business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs communicate clearly and confidently with the second-language (L2) English speakers in their teams. If you hire immigrant labour or lead multilingual crews, you already know that miscommunication costs time, money, and trust. The problem isn’t employees' weak English. It’s a lack of managers' clarity. When clarity is absent from our speech, good workers stay silent, mistakes multiply, and smart ideas never surface.
I teach leaders how to speak to be understood—using clarity of voice and verification techniques to unlock the full potential of their teams. The result is stronger performance, higher retention, safer operations, and a workplace where every employee can contribute.

How We Got Started

I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, the fourth largest French-speaking city in the world. I have always worked in two languages, and I understand how difficult it can be to connect with coworkers, customers, and potential partners in second language. After 25 years of working for large companies in Employee Communications, and faced with a growing hearing disability, I decided to change careers and certified as an English Second Language Teacher. Over 9,000 hours of coaching and teaching businesspeople all over the world, I have come to realize that working in your second language is very much the same as working with a hearing disability. I apply my knowledge and experience in both to help my clients communicate successfully,

This is really next-gen stuff, and you should talk to her if you can."

Business will pick up for me in September as executives and CEOs launch new projects and realize that their level of English communication is holding back their project or their career. I used my LinkedIn feed to post small text ads informing my network of my new services. I got my first client that way, a reference from a former colleague, and I have gotten others since. For all of my marketing and networking efforts, my new clients come predominantly from existing clients who recommend me. By focusing on delivering very high quality work and meeting deadlines, I was able to build a bank of satisfied clients who happily recommend me to others. Since my product offering is not industry-specific, my clients do not feel that they are helping their competition when referring them to me.

I do not actually tweet. I follow a select few hashtags to get information only. I find that LinkedIn is very valuable for me, both my personal page and my company page. My blog's Facebook page, Wilderwords, is also useful. (more) I do not actually tweet. I follow a select few hashtags to get information only.
