AVANT GOUT:
Les artistes dont j'ai reçu une copie physique (CD ou vinyle) au cours de l'année précédente et qui joue lors du festival de cette année. Un court commentaire et une biographie seront écrits dans cette section.

Critiques de spectacles:

Not really an innovation but as the saying goes 'When one door closes; another opens. Due to pandemic, all live performances cancelled but many film festivals were online with no fees required thus no need to request media accreditation. Due to pandemic, all live performances cancelled but many film festivals were online with no fees required thus no need to request media accreditation. Also certain platforms streamed official selections or waived their rental fees. Here's a list of festivals outside of Montreal I am able to cover thus far - SXSW Regard Telluride Mountainfilm Myfrenchfilmfestival Hopefully I will be able to do more. Basic criteria is at least 5 films accessible online. Any filmmakers reading this - please send link to your film - would be honored to review it. Please include official selections.

Many events that I would normally be covering for SMR Culture Plus have either been canceled or postponed. Even those that haven't, there is a risk of contracting COVID-19. So I hesitate in asking for accreditation. But there are many projects, I can do at home. At the time I created SMR Culture Plus in January 2011, I had gained enough of a reputation with the film reviews I had written for Arts & Opinion between 2007 & 2010. Still applying for my first media accreditation (Rendez-vous du Cinéma Quebecois) was nerve wracking, but I was accepted. Had a few hitches along the way, but I have quite a few contacts outside of Montreal.
