CET Computer Magic
About Us
CET is an information technology company providing repair service and support for Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Sherrill’s Ford, Statesville, Denver, Hickory and all areas around Lake Norman.
How We Got Started
I was teaching high school Computer Engineering and Electronics technology in 2008 and saw a need in our community for a computer-novice friendly IT company. We want to explain to our clients exactly what's going on and refuse to geek-speak people into confusion like so many other IT service businesses.

Operating costs increased 9.3% for 2021 and have increased 12.4% so far this year. I have to raise prices on customers and potentially, if this continues, get rid of employees.

Not at all. We don't really use Google for marketing - our client base is grown through referrals and business networking. Our address and phone number are there but that's about it.

If you're not financially set to do that, you're going to find it extremely trying on you, your family, and there will be consequences. If you can, sell a house in the New England area, move down south like North Carolina with cash in hand, buy a bigger house for much cheaper than you sold the one up north, and put the money into a business - the poor locals won't be able to compete.

I always add the extra information - the client may not understand it (he or she may or may not ask about it) but I'm not going to withhold information because I think that a client wouldn't understand it anyway.

Anyone who calls you on the phone and ask for a quote is price shopping - unless you're looking to be the cheapest, they're not generally worth your time.
Good question. We sent mailings, an email blast, a Facebook ad, and still have people going to the old location looking for us. Fortunately we were able to keep our phone number by transferring it to Verizon. People still call when they get to our old location and find that we're not there.
