Dunes West Neighbors is an exclusive publication, direct-mailed monthly to all of the residents living throughout all 21 subdivisions in the gated, golf-course community of Dunes West in Mount Pleasant, SC. Neighbors submit recipes; photos of children & pets; stories, articles; crafts and anything else they'd like to share with their neighbors. It's social media in print form and it's bringing our families together. This lovely, quaint and organic "coffee table" piece promotes good will within the neighborhood. Our sponsors enjoy connecting with our affluent neighbors - it's locals supporting locals.
Sheri and I honeymooned here in beautiful South Carolina more than twenty years ago and instantly fell in love with the warmer climate, delicious food, the southern charm, hospitality and all the friendly waves. As business owners ourselves, when we initially learned of the concept of a micro-targeted, neighborhood publication we immediately said, "we'd read that if it came to our home." Shortly thereafter, we sold our home in southern NJ and moved here to the Lowcountry with the goal of helping turn subdivisions back into neighborhoods. The very first issue of Dunes West Neighbors hit mailboxes in March of 2016. Since then the publication has doubled in size and we have nearly three years of families waiting to share their story on the cover of a future issue. We couldn't be happier.
