There was already a great deal of demand for housing in the PNW with supply falling way short. With recent events and the crazy-low interest rates, I believe there are / will be more folks opting to move North/East/South of the Greater Seattle Metro area. COVID, more than anything, accelerated the already growing trend toward sub-urban/semi-rural communities where they can work from home and, in some cases, operate their small business from there. Thus, more family/self time and less expense/stress /commute and a more local/community life style that they are seeking.
