About Us
Senior Helpers of Naperville is an in Home Care provider. We help Seniors at home with light housekeeping, meal preparation & cooking, showering & grooming, errands, grocery store and medical appointments. We help Seniors stay in their own home for as long as possible. We also provide 24/7 care for people that cannot be alone and need extra help.
How We Got Started
Senior Helpers of Naperville opened in October of 2017. It is a family owned business that was started so the owners would know they had compassionate, caring and qualified Caregivers to be with their parents when the time comes. We pride ourselves on very personal care, just like your family would provide!

Dear Sidelined but hopeful Senior, I work in the Senior services industry and have been doing so for about twelve years. I think looking for a position at a home care agency, independent or assisted living facility might be a good place to start. I find that employee's over the age of 55 years are much more relatable to my clients, as a matter of fact I was once asking a colleague about who to hire for a Sales & Marketing position and she said "do yourself a favor and hire someone over 55 years old". I find that to be great advice. I think discrimination does exist and it may be more difficult to find a job as we age, but put your self out there and let people know how much skill and desire you have for the job you do. It sounds like you have a great heart and if you show that to people and do some networking I am betting you will find the job that is right for you! Good Luck!

Dear Hot and Bothered, I completely understand your issue. Smells can cause headaches, nausea and even feeling sick. I think handling situations that are particularly sensitive with a group approach is the nicest way to do it. Going to your Human Resources Department and asking them to send out an email to all employee's. Sending something that says anyone biking, running or doing fitness activities before coming to work or at lunch should be respectful of the office and make sure proper hygiene is practiced. This benefits everyone and adults should be completely able to handle frankness about this subject. Offices are for work and can be close quarters. We all need to remember that coming to work presentable, and looking neat and clean is required. This is a common sense issue to me. Adults should know better but, sometimes reminders just need to be done.

What your going through is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. I know you must be struggling everyday. I think your non-profit is not only a wonderful charity, but a needed one. I know many families struggle to pay for an unexpected funeral and then paying for the marker can take so much time. I think seeking a support group in your community will help you talk with others that are going through exactly what you are. I also feel that there are many local business owners that if approached would help you keep going. I know I would. It's such a great reason to help others. Try taking things a day at a time and do what you can each day. Sometimes we dont realize how much activity sn get us out of ourselves. You have been through so much and I truly believe seeing your non-profit being a success would help your healing.

This is a person that preys on elderly people and you are probably not the first person that tried to "help" him and he took complete advantage. I would make it a strict policy moving forward not to get involved with your tenants. There are plenty of lovely people in the world to be friends with, so getting involved with tenants that your going to have to collect money from is just a situation that can be avoided. Your safety and financial well being are your priorities. Your at an age where you really cannot financially help others, and doing a grown man's laundry, cooking for him or cleaning for him is just something you should not be expected or asked to do. I am wishing you the best and hope you can get him out!!!
