This is a good one. I never could understand why on earth someone would say "Where do you see yourself five or 10 years from now?" and then sit back and look at us waiting as if we were supposed to have some confident magical answer like we knew. In today's economy that just flat out doesn't...

This is a good one. I never could understand why on earth someone would say "Where do you see yourself five or 10 years from now?" and then sit back and look at us waiting as if we were supposed to have some confident magical answer like we knew. In today's economy that just flat out doesn't work. If anything, it's impossible and if someone does tell you, run. In addition, with all of the personality tests that are floating out there today, people also have a tendency to tag themselves and tell you who they are. Trying to make a mosaic of a team out of those self-professed test results truly can be frustrating. The bottom line is this: everybody has different personalities, everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. You have to be someone who, as a team member & player, is willing and able to embrace the differences. In this new highly emotional political environment/climate--even more so. If you can't respect and adjust, you probably aren't a fit for a team or the environment. Just something to think about.

We let them know that if they don't get a hold of the holidays the holidays will own them. The holidays will run away with you if you don't take control create a plan and drive that strategy. Getting a hold on what you have to offer, what your brand needs to present during that time, and getting all of it scheduled out, early on, is the key to success for surviving if not thriving the holidays.

There are so many when you're a small business owner. But some of the challenges are as follows: understanding which services you provide to keep the lights on, versus those that are your loss leader. Then, keeping your pipeline full with the next incoming client while keeping your current clients happy. Always trying to project ahead to make sure you can pay the people that you write checks to and the team members around you. Making sure you can pay those estimated taxes and then beingready for the big chunk that comes in April. Small business ownership isn't for everyone. It is not for the faint of heart. But if you love what you do, the challenges are exciting not discouraging. I hope you find this helpful.

The long answer is to create a webinar program that you can sell. You start with a lead magnet and a video that invites folks to your free webinar. During that free webinar you sell your webinar program/content. That is the going solution, but there are many others out there. But you may already know that. :) or, you can place your knowledge into a book. Whether in print or ebook form. You can create ancillary products from that. My team assists with the latter path. Best to you!
