About Us

Personally, I have nearly 52 years in the custodial business, starting before OSHA existed.

My company uses the slogan "Making Cleaning Organizations and Their People Better!" We work with existing companies in a variety of areas:
1. Helping companies achieve compliance to the ISSA Cleaning Industry Standard or Green Seal's GS-42.
2. Offering a variety of training modules for employees in management, technical, or safety.
3. Work with a company struggling in some facet of the business to make adjustments and get back on a profitable track.
4. We offer generic manuals to help companies prepare the plethora of documents required for certification to industry standards.

We also assist people wanting to start up a cleaning company to avoid some of the pitfalls utilizing a four-hour workshop and follow-up support. I have written a book titled "Creating Your Place in the Cleaning Industry (or any other industry for that matter)!" which is available by emailing me Bill@BillFellows.com. Our four hour workshop guides people through the process of starting a cleaning company & avoiding common pitfalls in getting started.  These businesses create multiple streams of income as a protection against a devastating loss of a job and all income.  They will need to align themselves with suppliers to the cleaning industry and possible sources for start up and/or operating money.  Best of all, it is possible to start the business and let it grow while still working. We have been in this industry for over 53 years and truly enjoy helping others.  Currently our focus for these workshops is Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga.  Please contact us if you have an interest or know someone who might.  Our website is www.FellowsCustodialConsulting.com.

I have always regretted choosing the lowest price when buying anything.  I look for a blend of reasonable cost with a good company reputation so, if there is a problem, I can count on the honesty of the company to find a resolution. As a consultant and assessor in the janitorial field, I often work with companies who question the value of training, especially in a field with such a huge turnover rate.  One company once stated "What if I spend all this money on training and they leave?"  The response was "What if you don't... Our saving grace was when money was needed, I could walk down any street cleaning business windows for cash.  My ignorance made everything harder but I did get better at planning the cost of work until we could collect on the job and we grew a business that, at its peak, employed 53 people full and part-time, and operated 8 trucks over 9 counties. After losing my first wife in death several years ago, I have since remarried and moved into the consulting field since I no longer have the ability to perform the work myself.  We work with existing companies to help them correct problems with their businesses or to help them achieve available certifications in the cleaning industry.   More recently, we are offering workshops for people interested in starting their own business.  While these workshops are geared directly for the cleaning industry, the principles taught apply to any service industry. With over 52 years in this business, I can honestly say I have never had to work a day in my life.  I have done what I loved to do and gotten paid for doing it.  I wouldn't trade my secular choice for anything and my service heart reaches out to others to share what I have learned. I have 52 years in the cleaning industry and have recently begun a workshop to help people who want to start their own company or need help with their existing company. My experience precedes OSHA and I would like to talk about my experiences and how to help others. I agree with Mark as well. Besides providing products and services, we purchase the same. We believe in the best value which is rarely the lowest price! (more) I agree with Mark as well.
