"One of the best things I have ever done was back in 1983, when I was President of the New ALbany Chamber of Commerce, my vice-president and I decided to make an effort to join the Jeffersonville Chamber and the New Albany Chamber. In a year or two, can't remember, it happened. Great idea for economic growth for these two counties. Look what has happened over the years, amazing development for both economies. Retail, manufacturing, service industries, everything has expanded and grown tremendously.
