I began as a teacher of French language and culture, and I ran a weekend guesthouse from which I prepared Louisiana Creole-Cajun meals, and from which I also led tours to New Orleans. I moved to New Orleans and obtained my licensing after rigorous examinations and live performances for demanding authorities.
People loved the tours and the rich perspective I presented them far beyond the memorized scripts of non-resident guides who mimick one-dimensional scripts.
