I am Louisiana Artist Connie Born, and I create MisChief, with my whimsical MisChief dolls. Each doll has my signature button collage "Throw Me Something Mister" mouth and reflects The celebration of the People and Culture of Louisiana with a Mardi Gras flair. In 1997, I left my successful career in Sales and Marketing Management and created my very first MisChief Dolls. The primitive creations off quickly after being noticed by Dan Kelly at Kern International, and they exclusively marketed my creations. I then opened galleries on North Peters and later Royal Street in the French Quarter and was there with my dolls until Hurricane Katrina imposed a ten year vacation. I started anew in 2015 and sparked an exciting evolution of Mischief Doll Creations. Using exotic materials such as fine Italian and Turkish Leathers, Vintage Sari and Kimono silks, metal, crystal and glass beads, and feathers of all kinds, made dolls entered a whole new dimension. I also make custom creations for my collectors.
