Rashida H. Govan, LLC applies a healing justice framework to our work centered on the awareness that the social inequities, disparities and traumas experienced by communities of color are largely rooted in their interactions with systems that are grounded in white supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism. Our mission is to resist, disrupt and dismantle oppressive systems, while building institutions and systems in the image and values of the communities they serve. At the core of our work is our dedication to collective healing and a desire and commitment to work alongside Black/Brown people to transform and create the communities they deserve. The core values of our organization are love, healing, wellness, justice, faith (in the capacity of community to solve its own problems), self-determination, and collective work and responsibility. Consulting services include program development, organizational development, community engagement, healing and wellness services for practitioners, organizing and campaigning, communications and outreach, teaching and training, research and evaluation, policy and advocacy, event planning and fund development.

Rashida H. Govan, LLC is a full-service consulting firm that works to advance the organizing, political and advocacy agenda of Black/Brown people across the globe. The firm was established to address inequities faced by Black/Brown-led NGOs who are frequently under-resourced in ways that prevent them from making a larger impact in the communities where they are needed most. We do this by providing Black/Brown-led nonprofits serving Black/Brown youth and families with a wide range of services to enhance and improve their organizational capacity to help these communities thrive.
