About Us

As a career coach, I can empathize with my clients because I have changed careers 4 times and jobs 14 times, always to the next best position at a higher salary. I switched from teaching ESL to college administration to association management to career coaching.

I work with job seekers one on one or in small group workshops. I have hourly, monthly and three month packages. I also provide online webinars to groups and organizations such as New York Public Library, Floral Park Library, Brooklyn College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, Savvy Ladies, Fairy God Boss.

I use a five step process that takes a client from Step One: Assessment of skills, interest and values; Two: Branding - I help write your pitch, cover letter, resume and LinkedIn profile; Three: Connecting through expanding networks and writing directly to companies; Four: I help prepare you for the interview to Differentiate yourself from the other candidates through accomplishments, problem solving; and finally, Five: Enhancing one's candidacy through influencing letters, phone calls and proposals and learning how to negotiate your compensation package.

Webinars for groups at schools, associations, organizations on a variety of job search topics: Resumes that Get Results; Ace the Interview; LinkedIn Profiles that Get you Noticed; Finding the Hidden Job Market; You can Negotiate Anything; Assessing Your Skills to Identify Your Job Target.

How We Got Started

I have over 30 years of experience working in college administration, non-profit professional development, and management. I was let go of my last full time job as CEO of The New York Society of Security Analysts. I requested and received an outplacement package from the Five O'Clock Club (now GetFive) for a year's worth of weekly sessions and 22 hours of private coaching. During that time I decided to become a career coach, took their course and am now certified by the Get Five organization.

Online networking widens our reach whether for groups or one to one meetings. More people can attend online. Many of my clients are in other states so using Zoom allows more connection and we can share our work on the screen. Now is the time to contact all your current and past clients and customers - not to sell but to show some empathy and compassion about how they are doing.  Stay in touch with people.  Re-connect with long lost friends and former colleagues.
