Jingyi is an experienced conference and legal interpreter and translator based in New York City. Having grown up in China, her native language is Mandarin Chinese (Simplified). Her English is near native level. She has an MA in Interpreting and Translating from the University of Bath, UK. She’s also an ATA certified translator and a registered court interpreter of the New York State Court system. She’s worked in different roles in the industry in the past 10 years, including as in-house interpreter at a health insurance company in Shanghai, as a project manager at a translation company in the UK, as an adjunct interpreting instructor at NYU and as a freelancer. Her areas of focus include finance, technology and law. She has provided conference interpreting services to many international events, serving clients such as governmental bodies, NGOs, universities and international organizations.
