As a young mother, I was fortunate to have a community that loved and supported me throughout my pregnancies and beyond. I remember how movement was a crucial part of my pregnancy routine, and it helped me to have a smoother time during childbirth. My community was integral in supporting this aspect of my care, and I could not have done it without them.
When I moved to the USA, I noticed that many people did not have the same type of community that I had back home. It was challenging to see individuals without the guidance, love, and support that comes with being part of a community. This eye-opening experience fueled my passion for perinatal support work. I wanted to provide the same type of nurturing, professional yet loving support to others, as I had received from my own community.
Through my perinatal support work, I encourage individuals to prioritize movement during pregnancy and birth. I strive to provide a secure space where clients can feel seen, heard, and loved, just as
