Dr. John P. Weigand is the founder and director of audiology for Liberty Hearing Centers. Dr. Weigand has been practicing in the field of audiology for 15 years and, as a native of Queens, Dr. Weigand is a graduate of Archbishop Molloy High School and Queens College. After graduating from college, Dr. Weigand excelled at St. John’s University, completing his Master of Arts program, and furthered his education by attaining a doctorate in clinical audiology from the University of Florida.
Dr. Weigand completed his practicum training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Prior to earning his New York state audiology and hearing instrument dispensing licenses, Dr. Weigand completed his clinical fellowship at the Long Island College Hospital, where he received extensive training in pediatric audiology, including fitting hearing-impaired children with hearing devices and collaborating with surgeons in the operating room during cochlear implant
