If they are false you can try and contact the site hosting the review Google, etc. if the poster is violating any of their rules, and have the review removed. Another choice is to contact the customer and resolve and threaten them with legal action, though I do not recommend this course of action. The best solution I find if I cannot remove the post for violating the policies of the site where the "fake review" is posted is to respond in a clear, short, and polite reply.For instance, Plaza had a pair of reviews from someone in Germany and another living in Saudi Arabia, both countries are not served by Plaza Auto Leasing, and were, in fact, most likely racists. I replied politely that Plaza does not do business in their country and therefore their review was false and misleading, and I moved on. Do not get into a pissing match, people only remember the negative said about a business and all it will do is just keep the lie alive. Answer clearly, politely, and hopefully the people reading the review will realize it's a fake. Many of the bad reviews that we have had removed were tracked to competitors. Also most fake reviews are by people who create fake accounts and post only once.

Make the purchasing experience easy and not us vs. them. A perfect example was when a client went to a dealer and knocked $7,500 off the cost of a lease, the salesperson's response, in the end, was "well they wanted me to try". Try what?
