Hello Newberg! I am Om Thippayaphorn Sukheenai and I have been a member of the Newberg community since 1999, before that living in Portland, and before that living and growing up in Thailand.
I started Chehalem Insurance Associates in 2000 with the core values of honesty, respect, doing the right thing, fairness, beauty, and being humble. I help my clients find the best things for them specifically and make them know they are cared about.
How We Got Started
I always have an interest in how I can prepare for financial future at a a young age. It has been rewarding work to assist clients for planning and building their confidence for today and for the future.

Length of short term medical coverage depends on state you reside. Some allow 6 months to 12 months. Few states allow only 90 days with no renewal on the same carrier.
However, if they are looking for real comprehensive coverage, you may look into group plan.
If you already currently have a group plan and they will be hired as W-2 employees, the easy way is to add them and take them off after 6 months. You may need to look at your contract on the eligibility date; date of hire, first day of the following month after 60 day of hire, etc.
If you don't have a group plan, you can start a new group.
On group plan, rates are locked for 12 months even they no longer work with you. If you decide to terminate your group plan, it will open an option for every one to obtain individual health as a special enrollment period.
We are doing our best stay in touch through out the year. We also keep our ears and eyes open to hear any changes in their lives from their connection. If there is, with an appropriate time we call them to be of services. The annual review is a basic practice.

I normally ask or set time frame to follow up. Write down the date, time, and method of meeting such as phone call or in person and give to client. And follow up on that day. If it is a live meeting, I send an email reminder a day before.

I don't do cold calling but receive them numerous time. Everyone wants to tell me what to buy right away and don't listen when I tell the caller politely that I am in a middle of something. Don't be those kind of people.
Ouch! it hurts. You have senses why you lost the business.
Instead of asking why. I would send them a hand written thank you note for the past business with a business card. with closing of the experiences the client gave makes you to improve to do better. And, you are here for them to be of...
