About Us
We are an artisanal baker of The Whoopie - a twist on the classic whoopie pie. Plus we have a 40 seat cafe at The Tannery in Newburyport that offers other baked goods, espresso and coffee drinks. The Whoopies is an all-natural dessert and comes in 15 + flavors w/ a line of gluten free. The Whoopie is a bite-size, 2" in diameter triple chocolate cake with buttercream fillings- only 130-160calories/no trans fats. Plus seasonal flavors: lemon, pumpkin, red velvet/vanilla cream and gingerbread. Alan & Julie started the company nine years ago.
Chococoa Baking was named Yankee Magazine's #1 whoopie pie in New England and one Oprah's Favorites!
