What's the biggest challenge your business is facing right now?
Answered by:
During the COVID pandemic we have faced the dual problems of meeting and on-boarding new clients at the same time of managing the work on our existing projects using a more physically distanced model. We are meeting and interviewing clients via zoom and have tailored our staff schedules so that they are working from home on a staggered schedule. The old adage "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is certainly true in these trying times as we are increasing our technologic capabilities and fortifying our customer recruitment simultaneously to meet the current challenges.

Being a self employed architect for over 30 years, I view the profession as more of a life long passion than just a business, so I work more hours to satisfy the workload and loyal clientele. I realize that may not work for larger firms where overtime wages come into play, but that is why I left corporate practice with a specialty in hospitals and went on my own. I've been working out of my home for over 30 years, long before it became trendy and wouldn't change it for anything... only problem, is I never get snow days or vacations anymore.
