Vicki Cochran
Cochran IEP Consulting
I am a veteran special education teacher with over 15 years of experience supporting students with disabilities across a wide range of needs—including learning disabilities, ADHD, neurodiversity, medical and physical challenges, and more.
I specialize in working with transition-age teens and their families to ensure that each student is on a clear, meaningful path toward life after high school. Whether the goal is college, trade school, employment, or supported adult services, I help bridge the gap between school and the future by offering an independent, third-party review of IEPs and educational plans.
My role is to partner with families and provide an objective lens to ensure that school programming aligns with the student’s long-term goals. I guide students and their families in exploring what’s possible and help ensure that those possibilities are fully supported by the IEP and school environment.
I’m passionate about helping families feel confident and informed throughout this journey—and I look forward to working with you to create a future that reflects your student’s strengths, needs, and potential.
I got started in this work after years of teaching in public schools around Boston, where I saw firsthand how overwhelming and confusing the special education system can be for families—especially as students approached the transition out of high school.
I found myself drawn to helping students and their families navigate, asking not just “What services do you get?” but “Where do you want to go, and how can school help you get there?” Over time, this grew into a passion for supporting students with IEPs as they explore what’s possible after graduation and making sure their educational plans truly pave the way for long-term success.
