Founded by artist, designer, and certified creative mentor Janel Bailey Keen, we've spent over 20 years bringing beauty and intention to weddings, events, and floral artistry across Virginia and beyond. Our greatest joy has always been empowerment — helping others clarify and express their unique vision through thoughtful design and creative guidance.
In 2026, we're deepening that mission. While continuing limited signature biophilic floral art, themed event installations, live painting, and immersive workshops, the heart of Vivid Expressions now centers on mentoring creative entrepreneurs, artists, and designers to build soul-aligned, sustainable businesses and lives.

Vivid Expressions LLC was founded in 2006 after years of experience in both non-profit and corporate sectors. My diverse background includes roles such as Artist and Trainer at Busch Gardens, PR & Marketing Director at Animax LTD., Marketing Manager at Decipher Inc., and Corporate Trainer for Bell Atlantic/Verizon. After overcoming challenges from Hurricane Isabel during my own wedding in 2003, I saw a unique opportunity to bring formal art and design techniques to the event industry. This insight led to the creation of Vivid Expressions LLC, where creativity, strategy, purpose, and design meet so that we can help others turn their creative visions into reality.
