This is a very complex question! Construction has Many paths to take all at the same time. You have to have all line items covered by cost, and markups. You have to have your subcontractors under a written contract. This makes for a great understanding of what you want from your subcontractor and your subcontractor knows what he has to give for the contract / agreement price they are signing for. If you have employees do the same in your training. Remember “you get out of your employees what you put into them” ! This is very important to do training, hands on or by written instructions.
Money you pay your subs and employees first then yourself. This is a very good public relation tactic also. It is unwritten this way but you will always have a great pool of subcontractor to choose from.
Build what ever, like you were building it for yourself, and never cut corners!
Write your contracts like you build and bid it. List every item / line item you bid and you will not have any problem at the end of your project. It is in black and white with a signature on the list.
I could go on to many more paths but this are the bulletproof point to live and work by.

If the phone was shut off what’s that make me look like??? If you need time off give your phone to the trusted person you have on staff or some one you trust that will take it like it is his company.
