๐Ÿ“š In fourth grade, my teacher asked me to teach long division to a small group of advanced students over several days.

๐ŸŽบ In high school, I was a brass music instructor and earned the rank of Eagle Scout โ€“ learning to lead by example and support others.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ From age 17 to 25, I managed restaurants โ€“ including opening and running my own at 22.

These early experiences led me to corporate leadership, where I trained teams, built departments, and led high-impact projects.

Her experience in tutoring spans years, and it's clear she genuinely cares about each child's growth and learning journey. What impressed me the most was her unique ability to break down complex concepts like phonics and comprehension to simple, approachable steps. And sheโ€™s not just tutoring, sheโ€™s empowering kids to overcome learning challenges with confidence and clarity. Her empathetic approach to working with struggling students, particularly those facing bullying or other challenges, speaks volumes about her dedication, patience and deep care. Many have less focus and direction as they struggle to navigate working from home, decreasing revenue, new family responsibilities and dynamics, and demand on their time and energy, and caring for their and their family's health all while running a business.ย But these problems are solvable. I support service-based small business owners to solve their time and productivity problem that slows their business growth, increases their stress, or costs them consequential personal and family time.ย I help them double or triple their or their staff's productivity and performance, decrease their to-do list and have big revenue growth.ย  Small business owners often see 50% to 300% business growth in 6 to 12 months while spending more time with their family when we work together. I'm happy to have an honest and open conversation about what you might be able change to see these types of outcomes with your business, especially now during this time of lots of shifts happening. The first is what they did well, how they engaged the audience, good stories they told, how they show their expertise in the subject matter, whatever it is. They must have done something that was not terrible. Then you can offer tips for improvements or things you noticed that could have come out a little differently.ย  Of course, not everyone knows how to be a good public speaker, and that may go for the person giving the feedback as well. In that case, it may be helpful besides giving specific suggestions if they're appropriate, referring the speaker to a speaking coach or service I agree what many have said here, people usually appreciate honest constructive and helpful feedback if they asked for it.

It depends on the type of business you're trying to promote, the types of clients/customers you want to attract, the business stage you're in, the long and short-term goals of the business, your (or your team's) strengths and weaknesses as a marketing and salesperson, the amount of time and money you have to invest, and so much more. It would be awesome to have one blanket answer, but business doesn't work that way.ย  If you'd like to chat a bit about all the variables and what your business goals are, I would be happy to talk about what options might be best for you. I've been there and done that. I had so many problems with sales and lead generation when I started my business. The great thing is that sales is all about service, and introverts are great at listening and being of service.ย  I actually love the sales process now, because I get to help small business owners improve their business, their situation and their lives just by going through the sales process - whether they buy or not.ย  It's about being there for them, helping them see all the possibilities and create a plan to get closer to what it is that they want. Again, whether they buy or not. If I see there's a fit for us to work together, and I deeply know that will be the best, fastest and easiest path for them, I let them know and ask if they'd like to talk about the options. If I don't see it, I let them know that and try to provide other ideas or resources that will help.ย  I've even put the specifics of this process into an easy to learn template and formula called the AWARE Sales Conversation System that I teach and coach my clients.ย  It's amazing to see people who were never good at sales to all of a sudden make huge leaps in revenue and eliminate their stress about it, as well as seasoned sales people be able to cut their work hours because they need much less time to prospect due to having close rates jump by up to 150%. And it's all thanks to being an introvert, having to figure out how to make that work for me, and then teaching other introverts how to succeed with sales.ย  So, I do know it's possible and do-able to be an introvert and be very successful with both prospecting for leads and closing sales.ย

(more) How to attract clients is by far what I wish I knew when I started my business. This is usually the most difficult part of starting for most entrepreneurs. If you are a professional service provider, the two best ways to attract clients are: * Networking * Speaking It's true - making personal, face-to-face contact to build a relationship and provide value is the easiest, fastest ways to grow your business.ย  I struggled with these myself for a while when I started out (I'm an introvert and could be shy, modest and soft-spoken), but I was fortunate to meet some key people who modeled what to do (they solved some of the problem parts, but not all of them). From there, I studied sales and marketing gurus and deconstructed and decoded what they were doing and what I was still missing. Then I combined what I was already doing well with what they were doing well and created success!ย  Iย started getting clients, and then my clients started asking me to teach them how I was doing it, so I put it all into a formula with simple templates, exercised and worksheets to help them. Now I coach my clients through the process of how to use either networking or speaking (or both - very powerful!) as a way to get lots of clients quickly. And to see people go from zero to paying clients in a matter of days or weeks is very rewarding!
