What is the biggest misconception about your particular industry?

As a Professional Photographer with 25 yrs plus of experience shooting a lil bit of everything from baby showers to National Conventions for non-profits, digital has lowered the playing field.
Many think that our over head cost have gone down because film and the darkroom are no longer necessary. Yet they fail to realize that computers and software have replaced those expenses. Not to mention our time spent per event has increase in terms of post production. In the past clients were thrilled to view 300 images from their wedding in a proof album, if we showed them 500 they would complain about being over-whelmed. Now clients EXPECT a minimum of 700 images hence more time spent editing images.
Also since emailing photos doesn't cost anything so why should we charge? How else do we pay for our equipment if we sending it out for free?
Ohhh there are more issues than I could possible post.
