Banks may have a notary on staff, but that doesn’t mean they will notarize every legal document. Many banks limit notarizations to bank-related paperwork and may decline documents such as wills, trusts, estate papers, real estate deeds, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, court filings, or anything requiring witnesses, legal advice, complete review, or special certification. If your document is not directly related to the bank, call ahead or contact a mobile notary, attorney, title/escrow company, or the appropriate government office.
You don't need to pay these high notary fees any longer! Notary fees are charged per person/document. Average cost: 1) In-Person $15-$20, 2) Mobile $25-$75, and 3) Remote $25-$40.
