KEMPMUSIK is the brainchild of the studio's chief music engineer, Matt Kemp, who, among other things, is a musician, engineer, producer, radio DJ and ProTools Expert Operator. Within the walls of RK 1 Studios, KEMPMUSIK weaves together sound creations ranging from custom music/jingles to band albums/EP's and the music project Dita's Tears. Studio founder Randy Kemp opened RK1 for business in 1997. Randy began his career in radio in 1968. His dad Hal Kemp was also a broadcaster who instilled in him a love for music, speech and communicating with them on the air.
Randy left full-time broadcasting in 1990 to concentrate on expanding his voice work and begin focusing on his true love within the business - production, and more specifically, audio for radio, TV, video and film
Very active in the American Advertising Federation, Randy is a former President of OKC Ad Club, former governor of the AAF 10th District, co-chairs the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame, and was recently awarded the AAF Silver Medal and the Sterling Service Awards for outstanding contributions to the industry.
