City Gates Ministries has focused our energy and resources towards keeping homelessness from escalating in Thurston County. Over 1,900 families received a monthly flow of commodities such as food, diapers, hygiene products, detergents and in many cases financial support. With provision thru our donations and access to our network of resources, many of these families escaped homelessness and were able to level out stabilize their financial burden condition while learning how to manageing a budget thru the help of City Gates Ministries

City Gates Ministries (CGM) was founded in 1995 to address the material needs of homeless and low-income families in our area of Thurston County. Our mission is to reach out to the needy via the provision of basic needs. We are motivated by the commands of Jesus to help the poor. We use all donations as tools to build long lasting relationships so we can help stabilize those who may be struggling with overwhelming poverty and hardship. Clients of CGM include homeless families and individuals, low income and impoverished families, and the working poor. We believe that everyone is entitled to the pursuit of health, happiness, and wholeness – physically, mentally, and spiritually — and we exist to help and encourage them in that direction.
