I solve problems by finding out what is working and what needs to be improved, and help to get that improvement. This may involve finding out what is actually important, as opposed to what people say or think is important. Also, having experience in different fields may be beneficial as processes from other fields may be unfamiliar yet  helpful for the business at hand.
