At Y-KNOT, we're a passionate, volunteer-driven non-profit dedicated to transforming the lives of middle and high school youth in the Washington, D.C. area. Our mentoring programs are designed to support young people who are struggling in school, facing social challenges, or navigating the juvenile court system. We believe every youth deserves guidance and encouragement as they grow into adulthood.
By partnering with local schools, the juvenile court system, faith-based organizations, and community groups, we train and connect mentors to help youth with academics, social issues, and post-high school goals. Our mission is to empower young individuals to make positive changes, build trust, and provide the tools they need for a brighter future.

Y-KNOT Inc. was born from a moment of inspiration during a metro train ride. The Founder overheard a conversation among young ladies who were unaware of their value and worth. Deeply disturbed by their words, the Founder made a powerful decision: to ensure that no young person, especially young ladies, would ever feel less than or not enough again. This commitment sparked the creation of Y-KNOT Inc., dedicated to empowering and uplifting youth, helping them realize their true potential and worth.
