My “why” is personal.

Before entering the financial services industry, I worked in construction in North Dakota and experienced firsthand how quickly life can change through injuries, health challenges, financial stress, and uncertainty about the future. Years of physical labor and lower back pain made me realize how important it is to prepare financially before life forces you to.

Becoming a husband and father changed my perspective even more. My wife and I now have two children, and building a future for our family opened our eyes to how many families are unprepared when it comes to retirement, protection, and long term financial planning. We have personally experienced how complicated financial systems, family situations, and unexpected life events can affect a family’s future.

I also watched hardworking parents and families spend decades working without truly understanding their retirement options, 401(k)s, insurance coverage, or how to protect what they built. Too many people are left trying to figure things out only after a health issue, job loss, accident, or retirement transition already happens.

Today, our mission is to help individuals, families, retirees, veterans, and business owners better understand their options and make informed decisions with confidence, without pressure or confusion. We believe financial education should be simple, honest, and focused on helping people protect their future while they still have the ability and freedom to do so.

For us, this business is not just about products. It is about helping families avoid unnecessary hardship and creating a better future through education, preparation, and real life experience.

MagLife Advisors began after I met my wife Ka and saw the impact she was making helping the Chinese community navigate Medicare, Medicaid, retirement planning, and financial services. Many families and seniors came to her confused about their options, overwhelmed by paperwork, or unsure who they could trust for honest guidance.

Watching her educate and genuinely care for people changed the way I viewed this industry. I realized financial education can make a real difference in people’s lives, especially for hardworking families who were never properly taught how retirement, insurance, and long term planning actually work.

Coming from a construction background in North Dakota, I understood the importance of hard work and how quickly life circumstances can change. Together, we decided to build a business focused on education, trust, and helping families feel more confident about their future.
