Back Country Excursions is an outdoor adventure center specializing in guided mountain biking tours and instruction for all levels of riders. Our lodge and operation campgrounds are located in southern Maine just a few hours from Boston. we have 30 years of experience working with all levels of riders.

Location Location! Mission: To get folks into the back country by safely riding on mt Bikes. To share natural quiet areas in hopes that our participants will want to protect nature

We've always operated in a remote way. My philosophy has more to do with small and environmentally/climatically sustainable then large and quantitatively consumeristic. So we're right at home with this draw down. We take smaller numbers of clients, offer personal service at a distance.

It's both a headache and can be of questionable help if you can reach 50-100K folks. If you have the money and can proboost on facebook whittling down your demographic to reach a particular age/ economic/ consumer group it may be possible to gain some sales. If you constantly keep up the pro...

Developing Maine as a year round tourist destination requires an educational system that teaches our children the value of where they live. Maine is a world class leader in tourism But the educational system statewide does not support a vocational training program for young adults interested in making a career from tourism and Maines' healthy environment.
There's been a rise in show and tell farms, from skills clinics and farm to table eating to raising Ilammas, trail walks, etc But the educational system does not offer the most valuable economic resource to Maine students..that is Maines' clean natural environment and how you can earn a substantial living by correctly positioning yourself in it. I came to Maine 50 years ago and in the last 35 years have earned a descent living as a tourist destination. A destination that is not in a city or in a popular coastal community. As a matter of fact it has never been on the states list of popular destinations

We are a destination adventure center for cyclists and adventure seekers that want to learn and try real mountain biking. We specialize in teaching the sport and have developed some of the most innovative teaching techniques in the industry. We offer full packages including bikes, guiding and instruction. We have a trail system that we have refined to provide excitement and fun to meet the needs of novices to the advanced level of riding. Our trails do not beat riders up but challenge only to the skill level of each rider
