About Us

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who encourages and guides couples how to create a safe and secure relationship. In addition, I work with couples to effectively communicate and manage conflict more effectively. We explore how to connect and nurture relationships. I am a Certified Gottman Methods Therapist and PACT Couples level 2 trained.

How We Got Started

I use to work with domestic violence cases, but I really always wanted to work with couples who were interested in improving their relationship and building a strong and healthy foundation. Therefore, 8 years ago, I retrained and changed my counseling focus to couples.

I strongly believe that the specialty area should be the most important variable. I've counseled so many couple that went to an individual therapist or someone who did not specialize in couples, and the clients had been misinformed and had inadequate services provided to them.  (more) I strongly believe that the specialty area should be the most important variable. As a therapist, I see MANY clients who feel similarly to you, and I think it's good to know that you are not alone.  Regarding your question-I see my profession as an opportunity for growth. I've learned about strengths and weaknesses that I didn't know existed. I'm wondering if your new profession as an Independent Consultant could be an opportunity for growth. I'd suggest asking yourself some questions, such as "How can I use my perceived weakness as an introvert as a strength?; "What does the word "introvert" mean to me?'; "Can I view being an introvert in a different way?"; "Would it be helpful to work with someone to help me in this area?"; "Is this label "introvert" helping me or holding me back"; "When I see myself as "terrified" what happens to my success rate?"....I hope getting curious can help you in your process. Please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to discuss it further. I wish you the best.

I'm wondering if this might be a difference- some people may focus on "looking for clients" before thinking about how to "look to connect and build a relationship". Maybe that's the difference between obtaining or not obtaining referrals. Just a thought?? As a personal trainer and licensed counselor, I believe that diet plays a large role in our mental health. I discuss "diet" with clients, as well as sleep, exercise and the like. Please feel free to call me to discuss further. I can be reached at 410-736-8118. (more) As a personal trainer and licensed counselor, I believe that diet plays a large role in our mental health.
