It may very well depend on the type of business that you are in and customer base. From our experience the BBB was far more relevant years ago. We personally do not use them and have not with the exception of maybe a couple years in the late 80's. We could not quantify the affects of having them or not having them, so we chose to use those funds elsewhere and put up with their boiler room phone calls throughout the year. For us we did and do not feel a we suffered as a construction business from not having that designation. We chose association designations in our field over the BBB and others. ~Michael
