Wordpress sites are easy to work with, but hard to rank well on Google. It is why I hand code all sites for my clients.

Good luck to you and your business!

In 2016 it powered 27% of the web by now it is almost 45% I am not sure where you get your information that WordPress is hard to rank but that is a total incorrect statement. I am a professional web developer and I use many CMS and hand code. That factor has nothing to do with SEO

Whaaaa?? WordPress sites are easier to rank in search than most hand coded websites! WordPress right out of the box is more optimized for search than any other content management system.

Wix, Squarespace, etc are hard(er) to rank in search than most but WordPress? Absolutely untrue.

Robert - Ranking apart, it's interesting that you hand-code all your sites. i gave up hand-coding several years ago when I found I was doing more maintenance than creation of new sites. Are your clients able to update and maintain them? Have you developed a proprietary CMS that you can train them in? Or do you have to do all maintenance for your clients, changing the actual code every time they want or need an update to the site? What if they want a blog? I am very interested to know how you handle this.
