For small businesses, do you have a website? If not, why? If so, did you build it yourself or hire someone?

I agree with all comments offered. I have been a business owner since 2000 but have had a website for 8 years. Having one has meant a huge bump in my income and my visibility. I have had others build my websites for me (I don't have the bandwidth to deal with it) but I've asked them to teach me how to update/manage my site from the back end.
