So we have to be on the lookout to find that trigger point that makes our guest feel special ( at times we need to  speak less and listen more) 5) At the end of the day we are here to serve and we want to offer a standout service that others will remember and return One Love to all

It’s not who you know but who know you and what you do.   The other way is a Freebie or giveaway. When I started my catering business years ago before the popularity of the social media world. I would take samples of my dishes to different corporate offices in my area, Along with a letter of introduction about my service with a menu attached. I find People always remember trying a free dish or sampling a free item, I have personally gained a few large accounts due to giveaways. Grocery and Retail stores offer in house sampling so why not you? How about offering your service as a goody bag giveaway with other networking groups. I attended a foodie event once and one of the attendee who’s Island was know for its sea salt had small packages of sea salt bundled with a ribbon and business card attached. I thought that was clever marketing to a group of chefs😀 Wishing you lots of success with your events

(more) Hi Tikia It depends on the type of Business when I started my Catering Service I visited local business, car dealership, Corporate offices and others and offered samples of my menu items. A lot of people now due to social media has forgotten the power of snail mail. I still send out introductions letters to new clients ( Yes by snail mail❤️) to tell them about my business and what we can offer them. If their is a certain client you will like to reach out to as a customer check out their social media profile you will be suprised most have their birthday listed. Send them a birthday card which you can now do online. A google search might give you more info about that company or client. What I know for sure is people love to be remembered or just to send them a shout out. Read your local news paper and see who made it in the news, see a great post from a prospective client on social media, Read the post or news and send them a message saying what you liked about the post or news feed, or if it helped you share how it did. Guess what? They will not forget you. I remember once reading a article in a local newspaper and contacting the writer about it ( It was something in my niche) Guess what I was Featured in that same paper in another issue. Getting people to know about your new business is hard work but I believe in the power of relationship, Build relationship everywhere you go, don’t just give out business card. Talk, Share, Offer,Help. And most importantly don’t every give up🙏🙏

I also guest post travel tips, recipes, on other travel sites /blogs which allows me to share a little about my service and a link to my website. It’s difficult to operate a business especially when you work from home and not get out and meet other business owners or people in general. Always start a conversation with the people you meet even at the grocery store share a little about what you d. And carry your business card to share. Put a magnetic sign on your car ( vista print has some nice template) every one has a camera phone and most people now take pictures when they see something they are interested in. Got Kids in School be the schools travel agent, people don’t know if you don’t tell them. Same with if you attend a local church, or country club Marketing is constant you got to keep at it it’s also trial and error you have to find what work, work it!! And ditch what doesn’t work . Wishing you continued success with your business. And don’t every give up.
