About Us

My clinical psychology practice is focused on serving people on the cusp of professional burnout, as well as those with reduced motivation and focus, anxiety, sadness, disappointment, grief, relationship problems, medical challenges, and workplace demands. It does take some courage to ask for help when you are the one usually doing the helping! Burnout can be systemic, but it's an isolating experience and breeds feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. I can help - and it's totally private.

How We Got Started

I've worked as a Clinical Psychologist since 1989 in clinics, hospitals and private practice. I've also worked as a corporate executive and a physician coach, areas where professional burnout is rampant. When I was planning my current practice, I realized that I could bring all of this work experience into the therapy office and better assist other professionals who are struggling with major stressors in their careers or at home.

The pace of change in the workplace is so fast these days and we are confronted with more to do in less time from one day to the next. Careers that once seemed very attractive have become onerous, limiting time and energy to live life fully. I offer a safe and compassionate space to learn new coping skills and re-examine your life goals and priorities.

One of our greatest challenges is how to maintain our identity and freedom while facing the constraints imposed by declining mobility, etc. Thus, ‘aging in place’ is becoming an attractive way to preserve self-esteem, familiarity, and belonging - all supportive of mental health, as well as physical safety. To achieve this we need special help from skilled people who can anticipate our needs and create safe space in our own homes. Adapt-Able Living conveys their values in their name: the ability to live as freely and independently as possible while also having the support you need. As the baby boomer generation ages, these services are a gift!"
