So frequently when people talk about their value proposition which is frequently about an "IT" - a product or service solving a customers' problem, what benefits IT offers, and how IT differs from competitors. My unique value proposition is myself.
I show up before anyone asks me to and stay until the job is done. I have been in rooms where no one else would sit — holding hands, hearing stories, offering tissues for tears and making plans — because that is the work that actually matters. You can teach someone to open a electronic lock box and unlock a door. You can't teach them to care about who walks through it.
I am not in the business of transactions. I am in the business of transitions because a real estate move is never just a transaction. It is a life transition with emotional, logistical, and relational layers. I handle what the client can't so they can decide from peace, not panic. And I am privileged to be written into the stories of the people I serve.
Have you ever hired someone and felt like you were working with a ghost?
I kept seeing it happen. Clients going through the biggest transition of their lives with no one actually in their corner. I spent 3 years watching it up close. And I could not do it that way. So, instead of continuing to work with a top producing agent, I went out on my own. I have moved to a brokerage where the motto is Humans over Houses. That has been my guiding standard since day one!
