Family Therapy
Family Therapy may consist of all members of the family or any sub group, such as parent/child, siblings, caregiver and child, etc. Family Therapy is designed to enhance communication between family members. During family therapy, relational dynamics will be discussed and assessed to best find a communication pattern that will work for the identified family members.
Clients will work with the therapist to address various issues such as, but not limited to:
- Custody cases
- Parental conflict
- Judicial conflicts
- Behavioral issues
- Parent/child “misunderstandings”
- Drug/alcohol related issues
- Gender and sexuality
Whatever the need of the family is, the therapist will work with them to find the best course of action to create a harmonious future. During the initial assessment appointment, the presenting problem will be discussed and a treatment approach will be tailored towards the needs of the family.
