It’s just 1/2 block from the Mitchell Mercantile and a gift shop. Don’t be surprised to find both deer & wild turkeys in front and behind the hotel! The owner, Skeeter Reed is a delightful young women and always smiling. And she features best selling books with Western themes, both novels & true stories that are “page turners”. Written by a “New York Best selling” author, with over 2 million books sold: Ruck Steber, who lives in the Ochoco mountains just minutes from Mitchell. And the ‘painted hills” one of Oregon’s “7 wonders” are just 9 miles to the NW. "
