Carrie Eagles Newman, LCSW
Typically, I serve clients going through grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and mental/emotional blockages to harmony within and composure with relationships. I have extensive experience with family-of-origin friction and believe the past harbors consequences. I specialize in Experiential Psychotherapy using techniques that tap into the five senses to become aware and find solutions. I, also, have strength in Traditional (talk) Therapy. Fortunately, I experience successful outcomes within a reasonable amount of time.
Grief, loss, depression, anxiety, aging and so much more can by addressed using the wisdom that we develop during the second half of our lives. While accepting younger clients, this business is most suitable for mature adults.
No longer taking insurance, fees are at the lower end of the norm for Richmond.
During the 80's I had a thriving psychotherapy practice in The Fan. Then for years I helped care for my mother who had Alzheimer's. After her death, I wanted to start up a psychotherapy business primarily serving clients in the second half of life. I rented an office and mainly promoted, not so successfully, using old fashioned ways of marketing. During the Corona Virus period, I became willing to make use of the internet and use digital ways to acquire clients.
