Ken Felts started James River Construction, LLC in 1995. Ken grew up in the construction business digging footings, building cabinets by hand and learning all aspects of construction from his Dad. After graduating from VCU with an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Masters in Counselor Education, he spent the first 13 years of his professional career as a high school guidance counselor in Chesterfield. Never one to waste time, Ken would also complete construction projects during his summer breaks until, one day, he decided to shed his indoor office for one in the field. Now he works tirelessly to ensure James River Construction has top-notch employees, trade partners and suppliers that fit our culture of honesty, integrity and discerning craftsmanship to exceed our client’s expectations.
