How We Got Started
Founded in 1952 in Delaware County, PA, BHCU is a federally insured credit union that provides comprehensive banking services to its members. Originally established to serve employees of Boeing and their family members, BHCU has expanded to a community based credit union, exclusively servicing people who live, work, worship or go to school in Delaware County.

My most unique referral opportunities come from potential customers that did not "buy" from me and still referred me to others because I took the time to meet their needs and helped them make the right decision . They respected my expertise and honest approach so felt more comfortable recommending me than the person that they ultimately bought from that might have had a better product or price than I could provide at the time. They appreciated the fact that I was looking out for my member/customer's best interest. It is incredibly satisfying when you receive a referral in this way as it shows you are doing business the right way.
The best advice about getting better at sales and speaking is get out there and do it. Join a couple "networking' groups like the Chamber of Commerce and or DVBPN (Delaware Valley Business Professional Network). You will be 'forced" to introduce yourself, work on your elevator speech, do...

Join a couple "networking' groups like the Chamber of Commerce and or DVBPN (Delaware Valley Business Professional Network). You will be 'forced" to introduce yourself, work on your elevator speech, do presentations and sell. The best salesman are passionate and knowledgeable about their product. As someone who uses the product and has first hand experience , it should be a little easier to do so. The best advice I received starting out was not to worry about what your scrip is as your audience does not know what you are supposed to say. Just be comfortable, approachable and brief. Just relax. People like buying from likable people. Best of luck.
