The Ginger Cat Bed & Breakfast

Nestled on 15 acres a few miles northwest of Watkins Glen, NY, the Ginger Cat B&B is the perfect place to stay during your vacation in the Finger Lakes.

Our philosophy is simple: Treat our guests as friends. Provide clean and comfortable accommodations, serve great food and be as helpful as possible.

We don't have an 1800s farmhouse or lots of antiques, but we do have peace and quiet and did we mention really tasty vegan food? And cats! Companion animals are welcome to stay in one of our rooms.

Enjoy your breakfast on the 4-season porch, watch the magnificent sunsets and stargaze (the Milky Way is directly overhead!) from the large deck or take a walk through the woods that surround the house and gardens.

Despite our rural surroundings, we are less than 15 minutes to Farm Sanctuary, the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and Watkins Glen State Park. Corning and Ithaca are within 45 minutes.

During the busy season, it's difficult to take much time off, but because we have a definite off season that lasts from December - April, I find that I have plenty of 'down time'. Are you aware of differences in your occupancy since the use of rental on Airbnb?

I finally joined AirBnB and have only had a couple of rentals because of it, but there are now so many AirBnBs in this area that it has negatively affected many of us in the lodging industry.  So many AirBnB hosts are not doing this for a living so they can charge so much less.  It's a conundrum.
