It depends on how much farther I have to go until I'm done. But for the most part, I never take a very long break. A few hours or a day or two, but never more than that.

I heard about it but don't know what merits it has (or doesn't have). I write nonfiction so I'm not sure it would be as beneficial as it might be to a fiction writer sharing a teaser chapter, so to speak. But that's just my initial thoughts.

100,000 copies! That's my goal for not just one, but all of my books. As a ghostwriter I often find myself giving my best words to someone else. After all these years, I believe it is time to claim more of them as my own and to spend more time letting people know who I am as a writer. To put MY...

After all these years, I believe it is time to claim more of them as my own and to spend more time letting people know who I am as a writer. To put MY work out in front. And my aim and desire is to do this for the good of myself and others...but always first and foremost for God's glory.
These days it's mostly on my laptop, but it hasn't always been that way. My elementary librarian, Amanda Hughes, encouraged me to read and write. She was always doing fun things and helping me pick out books she knew I would love. In 6th grade she took me and a few other kids to a literature...

These days it's mostly on my laptop, but it hasn't always been that way. My elementary librarian, Amanda Hughes, encouraged me to read and write. She was always doing fun things and helping me pick out books she knew I would love. In 6th grade she took me and a few other kids to a literature festival on a college campus. I met (then) up-and-coming author, Judy Blume, as well as several other children's authors. We were able to buy their books, listen to them read, and talk to them. I knew right then I wanted to be a writer. I wrote (pen and paper, of course) my first published piece in 7th grade. Again, a teacher encouraged me. In high school, Mr. Roger Hatfield, my English teacher also encouraged me and went above and beyond to validate my writing--again, pen and paper or a typewriter. Even today I still use pen and paper when I'm out and about and something comes to me.
Being sought out by clients all over the world--including some who are world-famous. Working as a ghostwriter doesn't always allow me to showcase my skills, but being sought out by such high caliber people is very rewarding.

Facebook is somewhat helpful. I've received some leads from ad boosting, but nothing to get overly excited about. Twitter provides a broader range of exposure and allows you to better target your audiences, but there's no way to track it, so who knows. I've not done much of anything on YouTube,...

Twitter provides a broader range of exposure and allows you to better target your audiences, but there's no way to track it, so who knows. I've not done much of anything on YouTube, but it is something I would like to take the time to investigate further. LinkedIn has been a good source for leads, but their fees for things are so high, it is something I only do sporadically. By and large, the best online channel for me has been email. Putting myself out there by compiling email lists of potential clients and venues has done more for me than anything. It is time consuming, though, so I cannot devote as much attention to it as I would like to.
