I offer a judgment-free space for people to talk, info-dump, and verbally process without being shamed, judged, or rushed. I listen closely, and ask thoughtful questions that help people get out of their own head, organize their thoughts, and gain clarity.
8yr old version: I help people talk through messy thoughts until things make more sense and they know what to do next.
By accident.
I joined a local community for autistic adults and started hosting a neurodivergent-friendly board game night at my house once a month. Before inviting people over, I wanted to talk with them on the phone first.
Some of those calls lasted two hours. They talked, I listened, and I asked questions out of curiosity. Some of those people became friends and kept calling me.
Eventually I started asking them directly, “Why do you like talking to me when I’m doing maybe 10% of the talking?”
A few of them told me some version of the same thing: talking to me helped them get out of their own head, organize their thoughts, and gain clarity.
That surprised me, and it stuck with me. This grew from there.
