About Us
WR Woodworking is a custom woodworking shop in Liberty Hill, just north of Austin, TX. We specialize in wood countertops, center islands, mantels, stair treads, bar tops and custom furniture. Our niche is in the custom design. We build to the home and business owners need. We use native, domestic and exotic hardwoods sourced from the best mills that are kiln dried locally and throughout the US.
How We Got Started
Wes Reynolds earned his way through college at Texas A&M University as a home construction framer and building dorm furniture for his dorm. After college Wes entered into the computer field for many years but still enjoyed building and working with his hands making cutting boards for friends and family. As the story goes those cutting boards turned into counter tops and tables and the birth of WR Woodworking creating beautiful custom pieces for their clients for over 20 years. WR Woodworking is a family run business, servicing Austin and surrounding areas and blessed to have clients all the over the country.

We are a small business and when you have employees that are committed to the vision of your company you become a team, a family. Appreciating their hard work and commitment is very important. At holiday parties such as Christmas is a great way to say thank you and to hand out appreciation bonuses if able or to invite their families to come and enjoy a bbq or fun event. Your employees are what makes you a success, it’s a team effort together and as much as you can acknowledge that is very important.

Facebook Ads has worked well for us spreading the word among your friends and their friends. I would also consider checking the Ad pricing in community news letters perhaps offering a discount for first time clients.

I think that is a terrible trend and sends a wrong message of American consumer products. I personally would not want to have to purchase an appliance that is in the thousands of dollars to have to repurchase it again in 3 years not to mention the damage to our environment as you mentioned.

Using social media has been a really good outlet for us. Using sites like mailchimp is a good way to get out a quick blurp about our company. Make an e-mail list of those you want to target and shoot out an email to them once a month. Make a postcard and do a mailer to those same potential...

What makes us who we are? I believe it's our passion in what we do and what we provide. We bring craftsmanship and tradition back to the heart of the home, the kitchen and dinning room. We are a custom woodworking shop building custom furniture, wood counter tops, and other custom items for the new or remodeled home. We work closely with our client to choose the right wood, design and stain color. We build from raw wood that we select from local mills or lumber yards choosing highest quality and consistent color and grain pattern. We are passionate about what we do and why we do it.
