I think the three main reasons I see salespeople fail are:
They don't take the proper time and steps to build a relationship with the customer.
They don't listen to what the customer is telling them.
They close at the wrong time, you have to strike while the iron is hot!

2018 added a lot of growth and lessons for my company. My approach in 2019 will be focusing on what's important and not spend energy and resources on things that don't add value and sales for my business.

Approach - How you approach the customer creates the "Know"! The customer Knows you, what you do and what you can offer them for their want, need, or problem. This too let's you "Know" how to solve or offer a solution for their want, need, or problem.
Relationship - This is where the customer starts to trust you, like you, and ultimately respect you. The relationship adds value to our products and services, so it's not only about what we offer, but the relationship we have formed as well.
Trickle Selling - Now that we have approached the customer properly and each party got to "Know" each other, we can "Know" what other products or services would benefit the customers wants, needs, and problems. Doing this makes us a valuable resource and gives us the opportunity to sell more and keep them coming back.

What's motivated me to network, is knowing it's not necessarily who I meet and if I will gain their business, however who I meet and who they know that will help my business grow!

With that being stated, I believe customers want a salesperson who knows their product, provides answers to their questions, and starts serving before they start selling.
This is a great question Joseph. To get to that figure would be based on a certain formula;

This is a great question Joseph. To get to that figure would be based on a certain formula;
What would the webinar be about?
How long would the webinar be used?
Would the webinar content written be exclusive to this business, and their ownership of the webinar content?
From here depending on the time to do the research, the time to create the content, and then the time to upload/download the content.
Here I would take all these factors and base it at $297 an hour.
I hope this helps answer your question or at least shed light to your question Joseph!
Be real, get to the point, and make it about the person you are calling on and how you can serve them.
